Island Canopies

Hello, I am in the middle of buying a new kitchen and am finding island canopies to be extremely expensive. I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem, and may have come across a solution or cheaper option? Thanks a million
 
is it the stainless steel chimney hoods you mean? these are a bit more expensive than standard chimney hoods becaose they have to look good from all sides,price has fallen a lot in the last few years. what area are you in, is it a 900mm wide?
 
check DID and Powercity they both have this type of circular hood and the prices don't look too bad
 
i got one in b&q, they were the cheapest at the time i purchased.

You need to have it confirmed in the shop that the model you are purchasing is for an island.
