As land based BB is not available I have got one way satellite and yesterday eircom came to install ISDN.

As I wasn't there and wife couldnt get me on phone, when the instller asked her where to put it, she just told him th incoming box was in the Kitchen so he set it up there. Problem is that I need it in the office upstairs, where an acive extension already exists.

How can I solve this problem, should we have got him to put it in upstairs instead ? or can I now "get it on the extension point"?????

Finally, since installation, while we can still make calls, we cant receive any !!! Anyone know how to solve this problem.

From the last point it sounds like you'll have to get them back, anyway.
Maybe you could get the guy to move the ISDN box up to your office at the same time.
Otherwise you will need a CAT 5 lead from the Satellite modem to the ISDN.

Just a further thought, don't be tempted to move it yourself. ISDN runs at double the normal
telephone line voltage and it will give you a fair old belt.
