The low bond yields have a direct effect on some deposit rates. Rabo, for example, invest surplus deposit in money market funds, the return of these funds are linked to bond yields. The lower bond yields go the lower some of Rabos rates go.

The trend continues downward for bond yields and euro deposit rates. Some of the negative bond yields are truly astonishing.
