Hi Folks,

We want to get our gates Automated the price we have got from
a communications company was Euro €2,202.00 + vat @ 13 ½ %
optional extras were stand alone digital keypad extra €215 +vat
1 aiphone one to one audio intercom €250.00 + vat.

Is this price good?
Also tips or advise you can give in relation to automating gates would be welcome.
Unforunately where we live is rural and the robberies seem to occur on a daily basis during the past few weeks. Lawnmowers and tools etc seem to be a favourite.

Thanks

Hi Shrek,
That seems extremely high, my neighbour recently got gates done and paid €1,700 (incl VAT) by a very reputable, helpful and friendly company. I do know that she was advised to put a "stop" in the centre of the gateway, something to do with the timing after the beams have been broken stopping one gate closing. I think that price included keypads but I'll find out full details if you like - but it was definately no where near the price you listed

Hi,

I got mine done about 6 years ago and cost E2500 including key pad, buzzer, intercom and switch inside incase you are expecting a delivery of oil and may not be there so you can leave gates open. Prices have come down I'm sure since then. The rams we used were Sera.

does the price include running the power and intercom cables from the house to the gates? Wiring the cables into fuseboard etc> Digging a trench for the underground cable? ducting for electrical cable?

where are you?
