Can anyone tell me if there is a distance learning course for secondary school teaching? I have an honours degree but am currently in full time employment with a young family living in the south east so am not willing to travel too much for a part time course in Dublin or elsewhere. From searching so far there does not seem to be a recognised distance learning course.

AFAIK there is not even a part time course, let alone a distance learning course. The HDip in Education is a full time course (well, as full time as an arts degree
) and also involves teaching practice so it really is a full time committment for 9 or 10 months
