Is PRSI refund due for overlap of 2 employments?

Hi,

The situation is that I started a job while still being paid for my leave in respect of my previous job. So apparently I was fully employed by both employers for the overlap period (about 2 months, I had lots of leave due).

As far as I can glean, an element of PRSI is paid per week rather than being related to amount earned so am I due a refund?

All this happened in 2006 so maybe I am out of time for a refund in any case?

I did write to the Office of the Collector General about this in 2007 but they replied about a pension refund which I had not claimed so I think they missed the point.

I would be grateful of any pointers. As you can guess, I checking all my taxes for the last few years now that things are a bit tighter.
