Is proof of deposit required for approval in principle?

Hi,

Just wondering if proof of the 8% deposit is required to obtain approval in principle? We are currenly saving but don't yet have the full 8% but would like to get an idea of what we can afford.

Hi,

My recent experience was that they did not look for proof of deposit until just before
they issued the loan offer. They will just do a general check up of your finances before giving you approval in principle. It's AIB in this case.
