Is it compulsory to choose tuition provider to sit ACCA exams?

I’m just starting ACCA studies and I’ll be sitting first exams in December. As I don’t have any exemptions, I need to start from the basics. Upcoming December I’ll be taking just F1 (Accountant in Business) and F2 (Management Accounting) papers. I don’t find those papers difficult to prepare on my own, so I’m interested is it possible to prepare for exams on your own, fill in ACCA examinations entry form (deadline 15th of October for paper based exams) and just to arrive directly to the exam?

I’m already registered with ACCA and I’m thinking about taking CBEs for F1 and F2 papers at BPP.

Thanks a lot for everyone’s help!

No. You are not required to take tuition for any of the ACCA exams.
Just submit the forms (online or via post), pay the fee and turn up for the exam. If you are taking the CBE, then obviously you need to book this with the provider.
