Is Digital rollout happening in 2010?

Hi,

I only receive RTE1 and 2 and poor TV3 and TG4. I was thinking of getting a better set up for this year but recall there being talk of digital tv reception rollout for 2010. I don't want to invest in a Free Sat etc.. if it will be defunct in a few months. Any and all advise greatly received. I live on an estate and don't want a dish on the outside of my house but don't want to be paying NTL etc every month either. Thank you.

Its possible but.. anything can happen. I am in clare and I can get all the 4 channels crystal clear with a loft aerial, there is also a rolling rte news channel, handy for weather updates etc. As it is still a test they can switch off at anytime.

DTT has the Irish channels. I don't know if it will carry the other UK channels that Freesat does. A good question.
