Is Bicast (synthetic) Leather sold as Leather in Ireland?

I know that in the UK Bicast Leather (a synthetic product) must be described as such, but does anyone know what is the legal situation regarding description of these goods in Ireland.

I am looking for leather dining chairs and there is such a huge variation in prices available, especially on-line I am wondering if some Bicast products are described as leather.

Bicast is sold as leather in most Irish shops.Some of the sales people do not know the difference.On dining chairs the bicast will wear better than leather.Just make sure you pay bicast prices.
