I have a bond maturing next month of which I could possible reinvest about 5-8k but is it worth it for someone like me as I have no liability to dirt tax.

Current issue gives 2.5% over the 3yrs.

€1000 invested only returns, €25

All ready have a Regular Saver with NW

Any similar or slightly better options around at present.

I'm too old for this game anymore, it's getting beyond me but need to make
every red cent count.

I think Rabo's instant access account look like a pretty good deal in the current environment for that kind of sum.

No connection but I find Rabo's online platform really easy to navigate.

Savings bonds are a wash out in my case, might run with Rabo as I all ready have an unused a/c with them and which has the dirt exemption on it.

cheers for that.

Absolute no brainer if you are DIRT exempt. A Rabo notice account pays way more than the Savings Bond (1.45% vs. 0.83% AER).

True, but you're not guaranteed to earn 1.45% throughout the 90 day notice period (which is why I personally think a sight deposit at a rate of 1.25% is actually a better (risk adjusted) deal). For that kind of sum I really don't see the point in taking any interest risk.

Very soon all the financial institutions in Ireland will be giving Zero% for deposits, or even charging you to put money on deposit.
