    Johnny Ryan, the Chief Innovation Officer of The Irish Times has an interesting opinion piece in today's paper

    Links are lifeblood of the web - unauthorised use of content is not

    The point of the article is good, although it has been badly written or badly edited.

    Is our own guideline up to date?

    Are we being too strict? This is what the article actually says (emphasis mine)


    Does this mean that they don't mind us reproducing their articles in full as we are not doing it for commercial gain?

    We delete posts which contain full reproductions of articles, except where the journalist has given me permission to reproduce it.
