Irish Nationwide Share Account, Am I in a bad place?

Hello All,
Ok, I have an Irish Nationwide Building Society SHARE account which was set-up for me when I was like 2 years old! I currently have circa 25K in this account, really just sitting there.

With the current economic climate, am I in a safe place? What happens if they float (or whatever it's called!)? Am i at risk of losing this money?
