Hello,

Just hoping someone could clarify the difference between Irish Income vs Irish Source Income?

If my company based in Ireland pays me a salary while I'm resident in the country I'm assuming it's Irish Income.

If I become non resident and pay the same salary is it still Irish Income? Or is it Irish Source Income?

If I'm non resident will any income from my Irish Company always be Irish Source Income or is there a way around this?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Read Paragraph 5.2 - the answer to your question is that it will probably always be taxable here, as long as you are a director (ie as long as you actually exercise control over day to day operations).

Thanks very much for the reply.

So would I need to move the company to wherever I became resident also to avoid being taxable on it's income in Ireland?

I can control/operate the company from wherever I am so if I were to move somewhere else and run the business from there, for example Malta, I could legitimately say it's centre of control would be there?

Would this make sense?
