I would take the ferry at passage east and stay coastal for as long as possible before heading for mahon falls
Sorry @michaelm , You did mention that before and I forgot to add it to the trip, have done so now and changed the map and edited my post#38First day looks too long to me. After Hook I'd get the ferry to Passage East and stay in Dunmore East.
Thanks @_OkGo_ , have updated second day to keep coastal to Kinsaletake the cobh/passage west ferry and skip driving through the jack lynch tunnel and stay coastal on the way to kinsale e.g. crosshaven, Myrtleville, nohoval
I take it you've never been to Japan, 14sqm would be palatial to some of the rooms we stayed inFirst night in Cobh. The guest house you chose. Bedroom 14 sqm, this would be too small for us also the shower has a fixed shower head and no hand held component. Already feeling claustrophobic.
OMG, we're actually in agreement on somethingMy advice, for what it's worth, would be to wing it (and where possible to avoid Booking.com) unless perhaps you intend to be in a busy spot on a Saturday night.
I'd also be prepared to adapt plans on the hoof to capitalise on good weather and avoid bad weather.
I'm trying to help you in good faith and then you respond with this?OMG, we're actually in agreement on something
You forgot the winky face which is to signify that I was joking but obviously that went over your headthen you respond with this?
Will have a look at this later on and see what we can do, thanks for the suggestionsYoure kind of missing a lot of the best bits of the northwest like fanad (knockalla drive (google it)), ramelton village, innisowen, dunnfanaghy (incl horn head).
Appreciate ya cant do it all though.
I presume by Knockalla drive you mean the coast road between Portsalon and Rathmullan,Strandhill to gweedore to letterk to derry. Youre kind of missing a lot of the best bits of the northwest like fanad (knockalla drive (google it)), ramelton village, innisowen, dunnfanaghy (incl horn head).
This is the thing about these type of road trips, you can't see it all but you'll get a good flavour of the areas that you pass throughAppreciate ya cant do it all though.
Just looking at this now and where I won't drop down to it from Healy's pass, I might end the third day there instead of AllihiesThird day. I would strongly recommend going up and over the Healy Pass to get to Helen's Bar Kilmackillogue Pier in Tuosist. Best crab sandwiches around, also do very reasonable B & B.
Surely it's the other way around. This will have my head fried all day now.CCW is a good shout so you're driving on the sea-side of the road.
I think it's in relation to where the drivers window is positioned ??Surely it's the other way around. This will have my head fried all day now.
