Invst Property-rent falls shy of mortgage by 400euro a month

I am letting a property and repaying capital and interest at the moment.
The rent falls €400 short of the monthly mortgage repayment.
I am lucky in that i can afford to meet this shortfall. There is roughly €250k of equity in the property. I plan to hold on to it long term as an pension investment.
Question is am I silly to be repyaing capital and interest? should i just revert to interest only even though i am not feeling the pinch too much.......tks
