Hi, my son has an interest in shares, company performance and investments. He has asked me to set up a trading account for him to invest his few Euro that he gets for birthdays, Christmas etc. What is the best way to go about setting this up, is it a case of I set up a Degiro account in my name for example and pretend I'm trading but its my sons cash? Is there a trading account that a minor can have with an adults oversight? Interested to hear if anyone else has set up something for their child? Thank you
I have a teenager who has taken an interest in investing. I was thinking of assisting him to buy a few shares so he can learn about investing. Is there a way to do this in Ireland? Or do platforms only permit over 18s? If there are key posts on investing for children, can you point them out...
Hi All, I am looking to set up custodial stock accounts for my children. I came across Zurich's Child Savings Plus. I am wondering if anyone knows if there are options or possibilities to directly setup custodial accounts in Ireland - I'd rather avoid Zurich's fees if possible. I was living...

HI, Just wondering if anyone would have advise on setting up a stockbroking account for kids - under 10. I recently filled out the paperwork for Degiro but they wrote back to say they are not setting up minor accounts. Just looking for low cost brokerage for putting small amount of money into...
@ClubMan thank you for those threads, a help to some degree in that the summary is Degiro used do accounts for minors but no longer do but there is an option to set up multiple accounts with different usr names etc so the child is under the impression they have their own account however its actually the parents details behind it. In any case the tax liabilities on non CGT gains roll up to the parent. The other option is the Bare Trust.....do you have any detail on that option please?
