Investing lump sum

I am looking for some advice on best plan for a retired couple, mid sixties with lump sum of €150,000.

We both have pensions of approx €30,000 net per annum which provides a comfortable standard of living. There are no outstanding debts and a separate reserve fund of €40,000 for emergencies.

Given our ages we are not looking for a very long term scheme, but would like a mix that would at least keep pace with inflation.

Any advice gratefully received.

Not investing but what about the state savings national solidarity bonds for up to €120k - 15% after 10 years so approx 1.5% per annum. Pitiful but the positive is that you can withdraw at any time (you will forfeit teh interest for the most par though), so if an emergency arises you have the peace of mind.
