Intestacy Query

HI just a quick query.
Where someone dies with no will and 6 next of kin survive, all equally entitled. Then one of the next of kin dies before the probate is finalised- does their share go to whoever survives them or is it lost entirely so that only the 5 remianing get the share?

There is some info there. My understanding is that if there are 6 equal inheritors, and one dies, then their inheritance becomes part of their estate and passes on to their survivors, but I am not an expert.

As long as you survive the deceased and then die, your share goes into your estate. If you predecease you may lose out. Depends on the relationships involved though.
