Hi all,
I have a bit of a delima, i attended a job interview with a company that i would love to work for last october but unfornatunely was unsucessful..but yesterday the HR dept from that company called me to let me know that the role has opened up again and to see if i was still interested in it ..which i still am - would love to work there ...thing is that i am 4 months pregnant..what sholud i do i dont want to lead the comapny on ..but i think asking for 6 mths off come december may jepordise my chances . should i tell them now about the pregnacy or wait and see how i get on at interview

I would say nothing at this stage. Go for your interview and see how you get on. If you tell them now you will always believe that you were turned down because of the pregnancy. So let the employers judge you on your merits. If you are offered the position, at this stage tell them.

Just my 2c worth

Do the interview and see how it goes, dont tell them anything before the interview. If you are the right person for the job a lot of companies will not be that short sighted as you will come back from maternity leave in a few months. If you convince them enough that you will be valuable to the company then they will want to hire you.

AFAIK there is no legal onus on you to inform potential employers about your pregnancy.

However you may feel than you have a moral duty to do so, its up to you in the end.

Best of luck with both ventures.

I don't fully understand that a job offer could be withdrawn because you inform them that you are pregnant. Is that correct??
