Looking through the equivalent for myself and wife of P60 for 2019 here, and my wife was on maternity leave for part of the year, and it shows under ‘Insurable weeks’ 36 class A1s and 1 class AO.
Looking through the equivalent for myself and wife of P60 for 2019 here, and my wife was on maternity leave for part of the year, and it shows under ‘Insurable weeks’ 36 class A1s and 1 class AO.
- If I’m not mistaken there is the possibility of buying back insurable weeks?
- What do you actually ‘get’ for buying back the insurable weeks?
- Perhaps it is not necessary to do so as there will be no more benefits than would typically be when it comes to retirement age, both of us are public servants who won’t be far off full pensions much further down the line.
- What are the costs of buying back insurable weeks?
- Also, there was a spell of maternity leave back in 2015/2016? Can this also be ‘bought back’ if advisable?
