"INSERT" button not working, using Office 2010

"Insert" Button inoperatable on the keyboard.

I cant find the setting anywhere in office 2010 where it will allow me to switch on this option????

Help! Its driving me crazy....
 
Maybe it's a Windows issue ?
Check the keyboard set-up in Control Panel ?

Also, in Office, depending on the version, there are 'panels' along the bottom of the window that indicate if the INSERT function is set of INSERT or OVERTYPE.
 
You can turn on this functionality.

Go to OPTIONS from the FILE menu.
Select the ADVANCED side tab.
Tick the box titled - "Use the Insert Key to control overtype mode"

Voila.
