At the moment I have an influx of cluster flies. These are 'clustering' around my windows and velux. Has anyone else got this problem? Any remedies to get rid of these?

I had a problem with fruit flies lately and used advice on here form Steve I think which worked a treat. It was to put some vinegar into a glass and cover the top with cling film. Then you have to pierce a few small holes in the top of the cling film.
I used to swirl the glass around every few hours and I think it must have sent the vapours upwards to attract more flies to their death!

Do you live near water ? I live near a large lake and every few weeks in summer I get a lot of "clustering" where there is a large hatch of flies. Its only lasts a day or two though.
