Hi, we recently topped up our mortgage when it came to light that AIB had an incorrect maturity date on our mortgage account. The maturity date was 12 months over what it should have been.
AIB have written to us, acknowledged the error, confirmed that there has not been a detrimental impact on our CCR record, the bank have also credited our account to make up the difference in capital & interest repayments & reinstated the original correct maturity date.
The amounts are not large & the difference in our mortgage repayments is approx €30 per month.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the outcome & AIBs explanation of same. However, as I have not come across this previously I am wondering is there anything else that should be done or that I've overlooked or not thought of?
