TBH the executor hasn't been particularly transparent, probably because I ask questions that are usually uncovered during conveyancing but I need the answers before I even got into the bidding to see if it was worth it.

Apologies for the late reply.

Mostly about the boundary, if probate had been granted and about the other bidders. I know the EA can only give answers about the property as they are supplied by the vendor but there was something in my gut that seemed off and the lack of knowledge by the EA surprised me.
In the end I walked away as I got word off a site that suits us better & happy in the knowledge that I’ve not wasted money in a bidding war that went way OTT.

I put in the 5K and the counter by the other bidder was another 12K so I left it cause it truthfully wasn’t worth it.
