Importing a ride-on mower

Hi,

Has anyone imported a ride on mower from the states? They are at a fraction of the cost here and was wondering if it is worth doing?

Is there an import duty to be paid and if so what is it? Also what would the shipping charges be?

Probably too good to be true!!

It probable is to good to be true,
my friend imported a motorcyle from Japan, In Ireland the bike cost €4599 in Japan it cost the equiv. of €3999. When it was finally imported he only saved about €250 probably not worth the wait and hassle.
The Irish government has you all ways my friend..:mad:

The taxes on a mower of that size would definitely be heavy.
