I am completing the Form 11 for 2020. I can see illness benefit in 2020 was populated. The revenue website mentioned that tax on this benefit is collected by a reduction in tax credits and tax bands. I did not notice this happening in 2020. I saw that my tax credit and tax band was reduced for 2021 (and did not understand why at the time) but when I contacted the Revenue about this, they promptly removed the reduction. Now I am left wondering how do I pay the tax on the 2020 illness benefit. I did the calculate function in the Form 11 but it did not tell me that I owe that tax. I hope you can advise. Thank you.
