Hi,
we are building 2storey ICF house in west with cut roof and natural slate. We would like to do a traditional flush eave detail with no soffit. My carpenter has suggested using a Cedar Fascia board. Has anyone here used Cedar for the Fascia, did you treat the boards with anything? What size board would you reccommend? Where did you buy the Cedar fascia and how much does it cost?

Are there better material options for Fascia?

I have seen on another thread where someone recommended using glidevale over facia vent fv100.

Is this considered the best way to ventilate
or are there better options?

Also if it is going to be a cold roof, what airtightness detail would you recommend?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
