i pod touch for beginners

Hi all,
I got an i pod touch as a present recently. I haven't much of a clue how to use it. Basically how do I go about downloading rte radio podcasts? I went into their link but it says I have to download software and I am uncertain which to pick.
If I can manage that much it should keep me going.

If you're using iTunes you won't need to download any additional software.

Under the "Advanced" menu option in iTunes you'll see a command called "Subscribe to podcast". Just copy and paste the url for the podcast in here and iTunes will automatically download the latest one for you, and will allow you to downloads selected earlier ones as well. You can adjust settings to keep all your podcasts, or just unheard ones, recent ones, etc.

Use the help function if you get stuck. But I hope you'll find it's pretty easy. Once it's set up it's painless.

I got a Touch a while ago, my first iPod and I had heard horror stories about iTunes but I find it works fine. I've had no problems at all, even running it with Vista.

PS forgot to say you can access podcasts directly through the iTunes store as well. This is even easier. Click the podcasts link on the top left and you'll find lots available, including RTÉ ones. You can click RTÉ under the list of featured providers and there are five pages of available RTÉ podcasts. Should keep your ears busy for a while....
