Hi
I want to buy a device but I am not sure what I am looking for. I would like to have some music for when I go out walking or use the treadmill but I would also like to listen to the radio and I would like to be able to download a book that I can listen to when travelling can I get 1 device that does all this or am I looking for 2 seperate things?

No, any mp3 player with a built-in FM radio will do that. And you don't have to spend a whole lot, either — a quick Google threw up this for under €50.

Most commercial audio book sites will offer a choice between wma/mp3 format and AAC (the proprietory format used by iPods, which I personally wouldn't recommend).

http://librivox.org/ is a great source for free (public domain) works.

thanks for that the creative zen looks good do you know can i plug it in the the cig lighter in my car and play it in that way? also does anyone have web addresses for books downloads.

You might find that a bit awkward for the treadmill.:)

The apple/ipod online library has some audio books available in a range of topics.

I am glad to see we still have commedians even on a monday thanks for advice anyway

If you use audible.co.uk they are compatible with a limited number of players, though their range is extending all the time.
