I need help with a lump sum

I know the offerings are changing from the financial institutions so I was hoping someone would have the most up to date info.

I want to put 40K on deposit for at least 6 months maybe a year.

What provider will provide me with the most interets on this amount over the term and I suppose will my money be safe with them?
