I can't edit my posts

I seem to have lost the facility to edit my posts. Will I have to live with all my spelling mistakes in perpetuity now!?

Just to disprove my point the "Edit" option displayed on the end of this post - but I definitely couldn't edit a previous post that I put up a few days ago.

That's by design, the ability to edit is removed after 48 hours I believe. This is to prevent people coming back after their question has been answered deleting all their posts.

And spammers were guessing at people's passwords and editing very old posts to put in malicious links.

Ah, good to know, I'll have to learn to live with my old mistakes then!

Grammarly.installed in your browser as an extension will help as will the "Preview" function on the site, dark blue button bottom right when you create a new post or thread.
