Husband and I self employed for the last 10 years: contrib or non contributory?

My Husband and I went self employed 10 years ago so which would be entitled to contributory or non contrubutory?

It will depend on the number of qualifying PRSI contributions you have at retirement age (not all PRSI contribution classes count towards a contributory state pension), and the regulations which will apply at that time. Have a look at www.welfare.ie for current pension qualifying criteria.
