I got one email alert with working links (to a now-deleted post from CiaranT saying new alerts were working), in between others that didn't. The difference appears to be that the working emails link to www.askaboutmoney.com while the non-working ones link to forum.askaboutmoney.com.

    Guys

Leave it with me and I will try to fix it tomorrow when our hosting service is back in the office.

The https version seems to be working fine for online access (no complaint anymore from Firefox at least). Unfortunately email alerts are still broken. The URL to this thread from an email alert, for instance, is now:

    Code:
    https://www.askaboutmoney.com/ https:/www.askaboutmoney.com/threads/https-version-of-askaboutmoney.203102/unread

Basically it is putting "https://www.askaboutmoney.com<space>" as a prefix in front of what should be the correct URL. I presume this is a control panel setting somewhere.

The secure aspect is working. No more insecure messages.

The email alerts are working for me too. I just tested it. @dub_nerd - Could you please retest with a brand new email alert.

I am still getting sporadic errors from links in notification emails. There are two links -- the thread title at the top of the mail, and the "View this thread" link at the bottom. In one case this morning the top link had a url with host "wwwaskaboutmoney.com" (missing a period) but other mails were ok. I had another mail where the top link was "https://www.askaboutmoney.com/threads/tax-return-on-foreign-salary-non-dom.203884/" but the bottom link was "https://www.askaboutmoney.com/threads/tax-return-on-foreign-salary-non-dom203884/unread" (missing the final period). Is there something intermittently stripping periods from URLs? (sounds unlikely I know).

    Very strange.

I subscribe to a lot of notifications and I have not had the same issue. I have just double checked a few emails and the links worked in all these emails.

Are other people having the same issue?

Could it be a spam blocker that is preventing you clicking on the URL by altering it? What email provider are you using for AAM? I am using Gmail.

I'm using Yahoo mail as a provider, and MS Outlook as a client. Any spam filtering would normally be more obvious. Maybe it's just corruption during the mail download, though that sounds a tad unlikely too. As I said it's sporadic though I never follow the links on most mails so I can't say for sure what the frequency is. Will keep an eye on it.
