How to store shoes and boots

What! So you have 6 pairs PLUS the flip flops. In other words you have 10 or 12 pairs. You plan on living long dude? It would take me several years to wear that many shoes out. Are the trainers dirty? I hope so!

My missus must have a 100 pairs of heels!

On my advice she keeps them in their boxes and took photos of them. I printed out the photos and she stuck them on the boxes. I also printed out the shoes in A4 size and put them in a folder so she can look at them all when she is working out an outfit!
 

No wonder this country is slipping over the edge. Not only has she shopped to excess but you have aided and abetted her in this sordid and sorry tale of gross over-consumption. Is her first name Imelda by any chance?
 
I have some of my shoes stored in stacked see through plastic boxes and the rest in their original boxes with a photo of the enclosed shoes on the outside so I don't have to root through all the boxes for the pair I need.

And you are actually admitting to this? How many pairs?
 
We have a pull-out shoe rack that we got in Ikea with the guts of a wardrobe. It holds a good few pairs of shoes (all mine - none of OH's) but not enough. I used to keep the rest of them in their original boxes but decided to just put them underneath the shorter hanging clothes in the wardrobe. According as one pair wears out that will leave a space for another pair on the rack. I won't be buying any more for a while - yes, really!
 
My wife happened to hit on this post and asked me to let you know that she purchases shoe boxes (she has alot of shoes) from lady in Tipperary. Very happy with them. Can provide you with details if you're still looking.
