Anyone else wondering what to do with their maturing SSIA while living abroad?
My mortgage is fixed for the next 3yrs so I can't put it towards that yet and reading some other posts it appears that I can't invest it with online banks Rabo or Northern Rock. Since I took it out with BOI is the best thing to put half of it into this special bonus saver account and drip feed the remaining half in over the next 2-3 years? I have seen suggestions of moving it to the country of current residence where interest rates may be higher and while the country I'm in, Jamaica, has extremly high deposit rates (4% per month) I'm worried about having it in JM$ as the currency is weak and linked with the US$ and subject to further devaluation.
Any ideas?
