how to deal with cat muck on lawn

what do ye do with cat muck on the lawn. i cover it over with soil but cannot cut that part till it 'dries' but the smell disgusts me. the idea of cutting through and messing blades disgust me

there should be a law as with dogs if people want cats keep them from messing on someone garden. i am so mad it would get some kick in the behind if i caught it.

Is there any way to keep these filthy animals away that works?

no need to be so judgemental re harming cats did not say i want harm them just do not want them messing here if owners do not want to take responsibility away then should not have them. filthy animal imo
 
If you refer to the linked thread especially this post you will find advice re. the difference between cats and dogs and their treatment of their droppings.

You may well find that its dogs causing the problem rather than cats. Have a dog myself and certainly don't allow him to dirty other people's gardens. You may get some advice from that thread as to how to prevent the animals destroying your garden.
 
it is simply not true that cats always bury their dirt .no dogs can get in here and none around anyway.cats come over fence seem. i am getting someone to do a job on that fence
 
We have a neighbours cat dumping on our new vegetable patch every morning. It is disgusting and the cat isn't even attempting to bury it. Thankfully it appears to be "let out" at a certain time and we keep an eye out to "shoo" it away.
 
Catch the feline beast and deposit it into the nearest wheelybin!! Couldn't resist.

you should not have to do that.if i knew who owned the cat as you do i would dump it on their door step. there should be legislation around that as with dogs

You would not be able to do this as cat owners are not responsible for what their cats do. They can't be trained and kept in a fenced area like dogs.

My cats go in my neighbours garden as she very kindly has a nice gravelled area for them! I have apologised to her, but there is not much I can do about it. She has put down some stuff in the grass now so they are probably off annoying another neighbour

Why don't you buy some stuff from a hardware store that you sprinkle on your grass that deters dogs and cats?

What might not be considered ill treatment by you may be by others.

Also, quit with the reference to filthy animals. I have 5 of them and all are clean. It appears you are the judgemental one.
 
I had a cat leaving their excrement on my grass - it stank to high heaven. Much worse than a dog's poo (I have a dog).
I got a spray to keep away cats in a pet shop - it seemed to work.
If you can mange to pour water over them while in the act, then that is supposed to help (I daresay I'll have the cat police after me on that one though!)

Apparantly cats detest citrus smells, try pouring a bottle of lemon or orange essential oil in a watering can and pour it around the boundaries. Not sure it will work but worth a try. I know that peppermint essential oil defo keeps mice away-they hate it!

yes they are. if you have them you clean up after them. if i knew owner in the door it would go

you could pay for the stuff, you are proud they are annoying other people noe. some cheek you people have. becasue you want an animal someone else must suffer their dirt

if i catch them in the act it will not be pouring water over them i will be. filthy animals

cats the pet of choice for irresponsible people
