How to connect X-Box 360 to PC screen?

Can any X-Box 360 or IT guys tell me if it is possible to connect the above together? I am no techie, but my son tells me that there are 3 possible screen outputs from the X-Box, namely SCart, HDMI or HD. I have a relatively new (1 y/o) PC, but neither of us can identify any corresponding link to the screen or back of tower box. To save space in a small enough "games room", I would like to take the TV out of the loop, and allow the X-Box to be played through the PC screen. Can this be accommodated, or would a new screen with appropriate connections be required (or is such a screen available)? Many thanks

Thanks Clubman! Spot on!

A quick question though...where do those 2 small leads (red and white) connect to? Sorry for being so ignorant!

Sound cables to connect to TV, speakers, amp etc. audio inputs? Seems to me that this is explained in some of the links in those search results. [broken link removed]

Thanks again Clubman. I went through several of the links on the Google search results but didn't see the details in your last link. I am indebted to you!

Sorry Clubman, one last question...I have now been home and thoroughly examined my PC, and there are no corresponding sockets for those red and while leads that I can see. I assume that means that the 15-pin plug will work on its own (and the leads can just be left hanging!), and that the sound will still come through the monitor speaker, as there is no separate audio system? I did tell you I was no techie!

Did you look at [broken link removed] on in that I posted earlier?! If you're still stuck then send me your address and I'll drop around to browse the web for you personally.

Yes, I looked through as many of the links as I could in the time I had then. I thought I had all the answers I needed, but I did not see page 2 of that particular link. Sorry I missed it. Now, having read it, I only understand some of it!!

I'll leave the back door open...!

These leads are for connecting to an audio device.

Not sure. Probably not. You need to connect the audio cables to an audio device - e.g. speakers as per the picture/page mentioned above, a hifi amplifier etc.

The 15 pin plug will only bring the picture - no sound.
You will need an amp/Speaker, or a hi/fi with a RCA (red/White) input. usually marked AUX.

I had mine set up like this for a while. The picture on the Computer monitor will be far better that a standard TV.

Mik

Oh and you prob will have to go and buy the HD-AV lead as the X-Box does not come with one as standard.
It comes with a component/Scart lead
