How to check if solicitor is legit? Can't find info

Was looking for a good conveyancing solicitor, local ones were no good.
Went online, filled in a form an bam... 30 mins later a call.

Can't find any info in the "usual places" anyone dealt with or have advice??

Ring up the Law Society and ask if they are members.

They are listed on the Law Society website - have a search facility for solicitors.

Is it OK to deal with the Dublin offfice or should I find someone local??
