How much tax back could I expect

Hi Everyone,

I was working up till September last year when I was made redundant and I've just requested a p21 balancing statement for 2009, just wondering if you can tell me how much I can expect to get back.

I had personal tax credits of 1830. and PAYE tax credits of 1830. so total credits of 3660.
When I finished working I had earned a total of 17,430 and paid a total of 1,046.05 in tax.

I'd appreciate any help, Thank you!

Is the €1,046.05 all PAYE or is some of it PRSI or Income Levy?

To be honest I'm just working from my P45 so it just says total tax deducted! Sorry

17430 @ 20% = 3486.
all tax will be refunded.

The figures the OP gives tally with 8 months paye credits used, also, p45 states total tax separately from prsi, levies, etc.

Oops, forgot to mention, if you were in receipt of JSB, it is taxable (16 wks @196-13 = 2,928). This would reduce repayment due to 634.
Did you get JSB? (JSA is not taxable)

Yes I did get jsb, I thought that might be taxable.
