Hi all
im newly qualified and getting offered 37k now based in Cavan/Monaghan/Louth/Meath area & very busy & stressful. what do you think of that wage with NO other benefits? Im good at my job

Would think that is at the lower end of the average newly qualified scale 36k - 42k for country general practices. I would hope to get 40k plus but that is really depending on the job market when i qualify.

€37k is a wee bit low, but most rural employee-solicitors wages go up fairly sharply over the first five years, hitting a bit of a ceiling around €65-75k (at which point there would be an expectation of moving toward partnership). I wouldn't worry too much about the starting point.
