Myself and my boyf are in the process of purchasing a new house from plans. We put down our deposit and are now arranging a mortgage. We've been given verbal approval subject to us giving the bank our loan statements. We're waiting on these from the bank but contracts have now been issued and require signing. Needless to say, we don't want to sign contracts without written approval from the bank so how long do we have until we have to sign the contracts? It will be the end of the week before we have all our documents (thanks to the bank sending me the wrong statements - twice), so will the solicitors wait a week?
