how long to get refund from solicitor

we paid €5000 deposit on our new house, with a 100% mortgage issued to solicitor, we completed sale on Friday 30 June, as yet we've not got refund of €5000 less solicitors costs.

How long would be norm, or is solicitor likely to hold on to it until we request it back?

Got mine in the next post after closing...

Got mine on the day of closing...after the solicitor had deducted stamp duty and their own fees...

Your solicitor has to get that from your Auctioneer, could be still waiting on it.

SNB, why would solicitor have to get from auctioneer, when they depoist was paid to auctioneer,and 100% loan paid to solicitor, they paid builder total price less deposit already paid?

I think I will ring solicitor and ask where it is, Its not much, only about €2,800 but I still want is asap, thanks for the info
