How long does it take to open a CREST account

I have been waiting for about 2 months now for a CREST account to be opened (by one of the Irish brokers that offer the service). Just wanted to check whether this is normal or if others have opened CREST accounts faster.

it's normally a little faster than that. have you contacted the broker?
