How Long Before PTRB Acknowledge Registration?

As the title says how long should it take before the PTRB acknowledge a registration? I sent in the form at the beginning of January registering new tenants and I've heard nothing since. I know it can take ages for disputes to be dealt with, but how long has it taken other people to get an acknowledgement of a registration? Thanks!

Ages doesn't even come close to describing it. I don't think they know the meaning of efficiency (dare I say poster boys for the public sector...!! ....only joking...don't want to turn this thread into public sector bashing ).

I began a registration in September, various administrative delays within their office and I eventually got letter a couple of weeks ago.

I think my last only took 5 weeks before I received my receipt and registration number. Previous one’s had taken longer.

I could see on line the cheque was cashed within ten days of being sent so was not concerned.

You can phone them and they will confirm receipt of your application and give you the registration number.

I contacted them several times over the months and they clearly stated to me that they could not give me an update on the status of my registration process due to large backlog.
