How do I remove a granite worktop

hey does anyone know how I can remove a granite worktop without wrecking the carcasses. The granite seems to be stuck on with some sort of silicone glue..is there a way I can loosen the glue?

Normally, or in our kitchen anyway, the Granite is stuck on with glue but not directly onto the carcasses of the kitchen cabinets. Usually there is a layer of .5 inch marine plywood(water resistant chipboard) that has been screwed onto the carcasses. Look to see if there are screws holding this marine plywood on. If so, you should be able to unscrew it to lift off the granite. Be careful it's VERY VERY HEAVY and could break easily especially around the sink or hob cut outs.
