2. I never said there was conspiracy between the Gardaí and any families.

I don't mind anybody quoting me on this forum, but please don't misquote or misrepresent what I posted. Posters here are entitled to some respect occasionally.

some of these likely had contacts who could have the charges waived or withdrawn.

I understood you to mean that because they were from well-off families, they could get the Gardai to waive or withdraw the charges.

But silly me. Clearly you meant that because they were poor they had contact within the DPP and got them to waive the charges.

He asked could he accept a Garda caution , was very contrite, the Superintendent was consulted and agreed as it was a first offence, and the guard was pleased he got a good result.
