How can get dots when I do a tab on microsoft words?

Ok - you need to set the tab stops specifically to do this.

For example, if you want a tab stop 5cm in from the edge, go to format/tabs and then "set" a "tab stop position" at 5cm. Then click on option 2 in that menu box (the dots) and you will get them. If you want to set multiple tab stops (e.g. 2cm, 4cm, 6cm) then, in order to get dots between all of them you have to go into each tab line and set option 2 for each.

You can't seem to get the dots just by clicking on option 2 in that menu box if the tabs are just set to default (1.27cm) and aren't user-set.

You'll see what I mean when you play around with the menu.
