Relative purchasing house and all has been going well abeit slowly. Just waiting for closing date and have been informed that there is a pending application on folio at the Property Registration Authority.
"It appears from the Property Registration Authority (PRA) website that the pending application is an internal land registry quality assurance application" The application was lodged in 2014 ! Vendors solicitor contacting PRA to expedite and unable to sign contracts until this is updated.
Anyone know if this is a serious problem and should they pull out and look for another house ? - solicitor just said may delay things but does not know how long. I believe also that there is a backlog at the PRA processing applications.
