What's the logic here - surely you are reducing your options considerably. As much as I don't trust agents I wouldn't chose my next home or investment solely on the basis of hating to deal with some Arthur Daly type character for couple of weeks.

gil, the odds of you finding somone with a house to sell here in Maynooth without an agent are slim.

If you're looking at maynooth as a location, why don't you suss out which estate you'd like to live in or could afford and then target that estate?

From the place myself and there are plenty of houses available in different styles and prices, new and old.
